Welcome About PMC Available Courses Course Descriptions Select A Plan FAQ Contact Us Site Map

Q   - Does a student have to attend every course offered in a plan?

A  -  No, PMC offers flexibility.  Students to take only the courses they desire or need.  However, the overall minimum number of students must attend each course.

Q  -  I'd like to have PMC put on a program but I cannot get the minimum student attendance from my organization.  What can I do?

A  -  PMC doesn't require the students come only from the Sponsor.   You could contact other offices in your area to recruit additional attendees to make up the minimums required for Plan 1 or Plan 2.  Or, you could opt for Plan 3 where there are no minimum student requirements for any course.

Q  -  We're thinking of signing up for Plan 1 or 2.  What happens if one of the courses does not meet the minimum number of required students?

A  -  No problem.  PMC understands all courses will not have the same demand.  As long as all the courses total minimum student hours, the minimums are met.   Plan 1 requires not less than 180 student hours based on 12 course hours.  Plan 2 requires not less than 384 student hours based on 16 course hours.  Example:  Plan 1 with three 4 hour courses meets the  minimum of 12 course hours.  If one course only has 10 students but the other two courses had 18 and 19 students  respectively, the total would be 10 + 18 + 19 = 47 total students x 12 course hours = 188 total student hours. which exceeds the 180 hours required.    Another example:  Plan 1 consists of 1 eight hour course, 2 four hour courses, and 1 three hour course totaling 19 total course hours.  The eight hour course has 12 students, each of the 4 hour courses has 15 students and the 3 hour course has 30 students.  19 x 15 = 285 minimum student hours.  The example totals 306 student hours (8x12, 4x14, 4x15, and 3x30) exceeding the minimum 285 required hours.

Q  -  Can a Sponsor secure additional Co-Sponsors to participate?

A   - Yes.  However you would still be considered the primary Sponsor and be responsible for meeting the conditions of the agreement between the Sponsor and PMC.  Contact PMC and request 'Sponsor Tips For Success'.  You will receive great ideas to help you including prospecting for more students, course promotion, securing additional Sponsors, door prizes, refreshments, and much , much more.

Q  -  Can Sponsors promote their product or service as a Sponsor?

A  -  Yes and no.  Product promotion and recuitment is prohibited in the classroom (IREC Rule 500.03).  However,  PMC will allows Sponsors to promote their products or services during breaks providing such promotion is not forced upon students and is totally unconditional.

Q  -  Is attendance mandatory?

A  -  Yes.  Only if the course is being taken for CE credit.  Both the Sponsor and PMC will monitor attendance.  Be warned: students cannot miss even a matter of minutes including being late for class or return from breaks.  If they are late, they can still complete the course but will not receive CE credit.

Q  -  If a course is only for training purposes, is attendance mandatory?

A  -  No, attendance will not be monitored.  However, PMC respectfully requests that students wait till a break before they leave the class to minimize classroom disruption.

Q  -  When and how long are course breaks?

A  -  A 10 minute break is given at the end of each course hour.  Lunch break is one hour from 12 to 1.

Q  -  Are laptops allowed?

A  -  No, laptops or any other electrical device including cell phones must be turned off while in the classroom except for break time.  If students leave the classroom during class to answer cell phones, they will be violating IREC Rule 500.03 and will not receive CE credit.

Q  -  I committed for Plan 1 but now realize that Plan 2 or Plan 3 might be a better plan for me.  Can I switch plans?

A  -  Yes, as long as you notify in writing at least 2 weeks before the course(s) will begin.  There is no fee or charge to change from one plan to another.

Q  -  Our meeting room isn't big enough to accommodate the students.  How or where can I go to obtain a larger facility?

A  -  Contact PMC and request 'Sponsor Tips For Success'.  How to select and stage the facility will be discussed in detail.

Q  -  Will PMC provide to the Sponsor the forms and templates necessary to keep track of student attendence?

A  -  Yes, the Sponsor will receive all the necessary forms and templates to track course attendence.

Q  -  If courses have already been booked but need to be cancelled, is there a penalty?

A  -  Not necessarily.  If you give written notice at least 2 weeks before the courses are to be given and 'rebook' for a later date, there will be no penalty.  If, however, you cancel without rebooking there will be a cancellation fee.

Q  -  If Plan 3 is booked are there any requirements for collecting or keeping track of fees?

A  -  No.  You can do anything you want.  You can offer reduced fees, no fees, or some combination; like charging fees to people not affiliated with your organization.
